Bonkers Shop design
Frankfurt, 2015

Based in Frankfurt’s historic district of Alt-Sachsenhausen, Bonkers Shop has become a new spot for the local skate and fashion communities. Exclusive brands are presented within a minimalistic design that was created in correspondence with the pre-existing interior. The black-and-white tiled floor provided the initial inspiration for the design: the furniture was painted black to match the floor tiles and to foreground the products. The simple shapes made from medium density fibreboard, along with several design elements made from steel and Aleppo pine, provide enough space for the products and create Bonkers Shop’s coherent appearance. Supported by theater spotlights, the shop itself is turned into the shop-window.
